Maritime Festival, World Cup & Live Music
The weather is set to continue improving over the weekend so why not get the family or a group of friends together and head down to Wexford to enjoy the many activities happening as part of the Wexford Maritime Festival this weekend.
Saturday Activities include a Raft Race, Try It Dock – Try kayaking, canoeing, powerboating, waterskiing and coracle rowing. Safety gear provided, small charge applies. (Try it dock activities available all day, weather permitting, from 12-6pm,) Model Boat Village and FlyBoarder – See flyboarder Dave Reid soar into the air using jets! Scheduled demonstrations throughout the weekend. Not to be missed!
Food Village Saturday & Sunday, Join the Wexford Food Family in the Food Village on Saturday and Sunday where they will be showcasing the best of Wexford Produce. Sample some of their delicious products and meet the faces behind these well known Wexford brands.
Sunday Events Include
Kayak/Canoe Gathering 3pm, 200 canoeists and kayakers take to the River Slaney performing demonstrations of their skills.
4:45 pm Come along to Ferrybank Pool and get a chance to try out scuba diving FOR FREE Book a place on: firstname.lastname@example.org or head to their stall on the quay at the festival and they will sign you up for a free dive
Thomas Moore Tavern will be showing the 5pm World Cup Match between Brazil and Chile on the big screen plus we will have music with local singer songwriter Damien Nolan tonight from 9.30pm.
